What is uPVC?
uPVC is the acronym for Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride, which is a rigid and chemically resistant form of PVC. uPVC windows are crafted from sections of uPVC profile, which are cut and joined together to fit in a window. These profiles are produced by forcing molten PVC through a precision die, the material is cooled almost immediately before being cut to length.
Today, uPVC windows and windows are the most cost effective fenestration that can fit into a home. The lowest installation cost when compared with other materials, high energy savings over the life of the windows and low maintenance costs make these windows a thoroughly compelling choice. Therefore, due to its innumerable advantages over wood and aluminum window frames, it has gained worldwide popularity. In countries like UK, USA, where it is also known as vinyl or vinyl siding, uPVC has garnered more than 60% market share.
